Placed on bulletin boards around  San Jose State University at the rate of one a week, addressing the importance of, in this case, text-based, context in the production of photographic meaning, and how meaning is subject to change. I was attracted to bulletin boards because of their approachability - largely due to their lack of “sacredness” a quality which often proves to be a barrier in conventional art contexts. Over 300 were taken and reproduced/redistributed by viewers, appearing in the lunchroom at the local airport and discussed in journalism classes as well as decorating numerous refrigerators (an honor). The model is my mother and she was a willing and knowing participant.
